Bright Futures is a student-led society focused on helping students maximise their employability and enterprising skills through year-round collaboration with industry. We will be working with graduate employers, students, and other partners to build on the skills of University of Leicester undergraduates in order to aid success in the graduate job market. The aim is that by the time our members become graduates, they are commercially aware and ready for work.
Our events will include presentations, workshops, and training on:
• Team-working
• Leadership skills
• Presentation skills
• Problem solving
• Negotiation skills
• Project management
• Organisation skills
• Assessment Centres, interviews and the CV!
Why Join?
Put simply, a degree is no longer enough! There is an increasing demand on graduates to have non-academic skills, so you NEED to have some extracurricular activities on your CV.
The University of Leicester's Bright Futures society is here to provide YOU with as many opportunities as possible to develop new skills, whilst networking with real business professionals from the best graduate employers.
We run various events throughout the year where you will get the chance to meet employers, learn about their company and the graduate opportunities available, and develop the skills, competencies and awareness most valued by graduate recruiters in the job market today.
Your skills are the key to your success, so let the University of Leicester's Bright Futures Society help you to create your own bright future!
